Christmas may still be months away, but some in the metroplex are already starting to make plans for the holiday season. For many, it has become a yearly tradition to visit the Gaylord Texan for their annual ‘ICE!’ Christmas show. Now, the theme for this year’s event has been announced and Dr.
Seuss fans may want to think about getting tickets early.
The Gaylord Texan recently announced the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be used for their 20th annual Lone Star Christmas event, ‘ICE!’ According to NBC DFW, Two million pounds of hand-carved ice will create a walk-through ice attraction featuring 10 scenes from the Dr. Seuss story. The event will run from November 10 through December 31.
Along with the walk through experience, this year there will also be two-story tall ice slides, ice tunnels and arches. This is not the first time the Grinch has been used by the Gaylord Texan for their ‘ICE!’ show, as it was the theme back in 2009 as well. Hopefully this year’s event will be even better than the last.
