One of North Texas’ favorite wintertime traditions is returning to the metroplex after a two year hiatus. The Gaylord Texan Resort’s holiday ice sculpture show, Ice!, will be back starting in November. Guests will be able to experience the Christmas classic, ‘The Polar Express,’ through ice sculptures.

This winter, ‘The Polar Express’ will be brought to life with a 17,000-square-foot frozen attraction. It will take 40 artists over 12,000 hours to turn over 2 million pounds of ice into the sculptures that will be spread out along the course at the Gaylord Texan. “Since debuting here in 2005, ICE! has always been a one-of-a-kind attraction for our guests, and we're excited to welcome this Gaylord Hotels tradition back this year with The Polar Express™ and all the beloved characters from the classic holiday movie,” said Chuck Pacioni, general manager of Gaylord Texan Resort.

According to NBC DFW, Ice! will kick things off this year on November 11, and will run through January 1. Sculptures will range from miniature to 30 feet tall, with some using clear ice and others using color ice and LED lights. With Ice! returning to DFW, this holiday season is already starting to look special.
