Musicians are always looking for ways to separate themselves from others. The hope is that their music is enough, but when it isn’t; artists are forced to get creative. That’s exactly what one musician did recently, after announcing his next album will be released on a Nintendo 64 cartridge.

German DJ Remute went viral recently after announcing “the first ever music album released as a Nintendo 64 cartridge.” The album will be called “R64” and Remute promises it is not a packaging gimmick. According to NME, the album will be a fully-functional “cartridge for your console” that will only be able playable on a Nintendo 64.

This is not the first time the DJ has released an album on a video game console, previously releasing music for SNES and Game Boy. The latest album is expected to be released in March. Hopefully fans still have their old Nintendo 64, or else they may be buying a new one.
