Texas Rangers fans were disappointed this year, as they didn’t get the chance to go see the team play in their brand new stadium. Luckily, the stadium is now open to the public, and while there is no baseball being played, there is now a holiday lights experience filling the stadium. Globe Life Field kicks off the Luminova Holidays event on Friday complete with ice skating and tons of lights.

The holiday experience will be the first event open to the general public at Globe Life Field. In the stadium, visitors will be welcomed by a 5-foot Christmas tree, 3 million twinkling lights and larger-than-life light displays. Along with the lights, there will also be a 10,000-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink, train rides, holiday entertainers, food booths and more.

The event kicked off on Thursday, and will officially open on Friday, November 3. Globe Life Field will then remain open to the general public until January 3. While fans will have to wait a little bit longer to watch baseball at Globe Life Field, this is a great way to get a first glimpse at the new stadium.
