2022 is coming to a close, and many can’t believe the end of the year is already here. Just like every year, 2022 was full of surprises and new information and as always people turned to the internet to learn more. Now, Google has unveiled their top searches for 2022, and the top 10 list for DFW may bring back both good and bad memories for some.
There are many ways to review everything that happened in 2022, but the easiest may be to see what people were searching for on the internet throughout the year. In DFW, the top search for 2022 was gas prices followed by remote jobs, SSA office, Pilates, cheapest gas, estate sales, staffing agencies, Halal food, food banks and Indian store. According to WFAA, some other interesting DFW searches were Capybara as the top searched animal and the Grinder sandwich as the top searched recipe.

For the entire country, the top searches of 2022 were Wordle, election results, Betty White, Queen Elizabeth and Bob Saget. As for DFW, the metroplex was the only area in the United States to have halal food in its top searches, as well as the most "staffing agencies" searches. It will be interesting to see how things change in 2023.
