There are many aspects of Las Vegas that Texans wish the Lone Star state would incorporate. While laws prevent most of Sin City’s fun from coming to Texas, Epic Central in Grand Prairie now has a little bit of Vegas to entertain people of all ages with. The 172-acre complex launched a new “Vegas-style” water and light show this weekend that will run daily with shows both during the day and at night.

On Friday, Epic Central held the first show for “Illuvia,” their new water fountain that features light displays using video projections that are synchronized to music. According to Dallas Morning News, each show lasts 10 minutes and the water rises as high as 60 feet. There will be shows every night at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30 PM with daytime shows running between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM and returning at 5 PM.

The new water and light show is part of a $75 million expansion of Epic Central that began in 2021. The complex also features restaurants and indoor parks with water slides, ziplines and rock climbing structures. With this new water and light show, maybe a little bit more of Las Vegas will come to Texas as well.
