HBO announces Harry Potter cast reunion special for 20th anniversary

There aren’t many pop culture franchises quite like the Harry Potter series. Through multiple books, and movies versions of those books, fans have become obsessed with the world of Hogwarts. Now, HBO has announced a Harry Potter cast reunion special in honor of the 20th anniversary of ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.’

Through eight films, Harry Potter fans have discovered just about everything there is to know about Hogwarts and the world of wizardry. Now, the franchise’s three main stars; Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, will come together to discuss their time working on the films. The stars will be joined by director Chris Columbus and other cast members over the franchise.

According to NME, the special will premiere January 1, 2022 on HBO Max. The streaming service said the special will “tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new, in-depth interviews and cast conversations.” Maybe this get together will inspire the cast to do one more Harry Potter film.
