HEB may be new to North Texas, but with multiple locations now open in DFW the metroplex is quickly getting the hang of things. In fact, one local DFW brand may soon have one of their products sold on HEB shelves. The Texas-based grocery chain recently announced the finalists for their ‘Quest for Texas Best’ competition, which included a number of local products, including one from Arlington.

For the 10th year in a row, HEB will hold their ‘Quest for Texas Best’ competition to find a new Texas product to sell in stores. This year, there were 632 creative and innovative products submitted by entrepreneurs representing 132 cities across Texas. According the HEB Newsroom, the 10 finalists include A’HUA! Sparkling Aqua Fresca from Jasper, Texas Babe Tanning Oil from Rockport, Armagh Creamery Organic Yogurt from Dublin, Brisket Boss’ Savory Peach Molasses Seasoning from Arlington, Funky Mello’s Sweet N Salty Dippsterz from Austin, PhoLicious’ Authentic Vietnamese Rice Noodle Soup from Houston, Sorrento Ristorante’s Pasta Sauce from San Antonio, Sweets With L&L’s Cotton Candy from Spring, Verdegreens’ Farmstand Salad Dressing from Houston and Wella Grain Free Cereal from Lockhart.

All these brands will present their products August 9 at an event at Fair Park. The winner will also receive a $25,000 grand prize. Soon, HEB may have a little bit on DFW on their shelves.
