Ever since announcing their expansion to DFW, HEB has been buying up land all over the metroplex. While not all their land purchases are expected to be turned into HEB locations, any time they buy up land in a city, residents are guaranteed to get excited. The latest is in Celina, where the Texas-based grocery chain recently purchased a 30 acre property on Preston Road.
Celina is one of the fastest growing communities in DFW, and as the population continues to grow, more and more businesses are heading that way. Last year, Costco purchased land in the area, and now another major grocery chain has done the same. The plot of land recently purchased by HEB is located at the southeast corner of Preston and the route of the new Outer Loop, according to Dallas Morning News.
While HEB is yet to confirm plans for the land, many are hoping it turns into another HEB location. There are currently two HEB locations in the metroplex with more on the way. Hopefully Celina will be added to that list.
