HEB hasn't even been in DFW for more than a year, but already people throughout the metroplex can't get enough. With two locations already open, and more on the way, HEB is quickly become the preferred grocery store of many North Texans. Now, the Texas-based chain has announced when locals can expect their next location, as construction is set to begin on their second Frisco location this summer.
Planning documents were recently filed with the state for HEB's next DFW location, claiming the construction process will begin in June. This location will be on the southwest corner of U.S. 380 W. University and FM 423 or Gee Road near Little Elm in Denton County, according to Dallas Morning News. The 130,380-square-foot store is expected to be complete by July 2024.
This Frisco location will cost more than $32 million to build and will include a fuel station and car wash. While Frisco is already working on their second store, locations are expected to open soon in Allen, McKinney, Fort Worth and Mansfield. Soon enough, it will be hard to find a city in DFW without a HEB.
