Ever since HEB finally expanded to DFW last year, the Texas-based grocery store chain has been attempting to grow an even larger presence in the metroplex. While only a few stores have been opened or announced thus far, the company has purchased a significant amount of land in North Texas, and has hinted at more stores to come in the near future. Now, HEB has announced they will be expanding their DFW footprint even more with a new “futuristic” fulfillment center in Collin County.

With stores already open in Frisco and Plano, HEB has decided to launch a new fulfillment center in the area to help with curbside and home delivery orders. The E-Commerce fulfillment center will be located near the Plano store at 6001 Preston Road. While no official launch date has been announced, it is expected to open later this summer, according to WFAA.

HEB is planning to hire 125 employees for the fulfillment center with positions that "will interact with some of the most innovative technologies in the company to help fill customer orders." There will be a media tour of the new facility hosted by HEB on May 30. Hopefully this fulfillment center helps HEB expand in the metroplex even more.
