There are many reasons to get excited for the new year, as for many it represents a fresh start. For some that means more responsibilities, for others it means trying more activities. However, for Hobby Lobby employees, it means something even better; more money. Hobby Lobby recently announced they will raise their nationwide minimum wage to $18.50 starting in 2022.

As many companies across a number of industries increase wages, Hobby Lobby will continue a trend they have done for the last 13 years. In that time, the Oklahoma based chain has increased their minimum wage 12 times, with this year’s increase bringing the number to its largest value yet. “We are thankful for our success as a company and thrilled to begin the new year by sharing that success with thousands of our employees,” said David Green, founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby.
