Some music videos are so great they end up being just as memorable as the song being featured, such as Van Halen's 'Hot for Teacher. While every fan remembers the teacher strutting around in the video, it was another actress from the video that recently decided to reprise her most iconic role.
Ruth Silveira, who played Waldo's mother in the video, recently returned to the role for a new music video.
When Joe Hernandez-Kolski and Thing of Twins were coming up with plans to make a video to their song 'This Rap Makes No Sense,' they knew they wanted to pay homage to Hernandez-Kolski's favorite band; Van Halen.
Luckily, he discovered he was actually in the same theater company as a woman who was featured in one of the band's most iconic videos. "I lost my mind because Van Halen has always been my all-time favorite band...She came in and recreated the role in one take," said Hernandez-Kolski's.
According to NME, the line Ruth Silveira said in the original video, "Now Waldo, I hope you find some friends this year," was changed to "Now Waldo, I know you have a lot of friends you want to see, but you have to stay inside just a little longer." Maybe this will lead to a second career for Ruth Silveira.
