Jack Black and Kevin Smith team up to play Dungeons & Dragons for charity

There are many hobbies that used to be considered nerdy, yet in recent years have become cool and mainstream. One of those is the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, as today the game that used to be exclusively held in the basements of nerdy kids, now has full scale events for fans to enjoy worldwide. Now, some celebrities are getting in on the fun as well, as it was recently announced Jack Black and Kevin Smith would play a game of D&D for charity.

Next month, Jack Black and Kevin Smith will join the ‘Lost Odyssey: Last Light’ session that will be livestreamed as part of ‘D&D Live 2021.’ The stars will be joined by comedian Reggie Watts, actors Lauren Lapkus, Jason Mewes and some yet to be announced “special guests,” according to Dice Breaker.

The game the celebrities will be playing for charity will be an adventure teased as being pirate-themed, with references to swashbuckling and the promise of “dragons, krakens and sea giant queens.” Many Dungeons & Dragons fans are excited to see if these stars have any skills. Soon the entire world will be playing D&D in their parent’s basement.
