My fellow Berkner High School alumnus is returning to arguably his most beloved role. It was reported recently that Jensen Ackles, along with his wife Danneel Ackles, are currently developing a ‘Supernatural’ prequel series for the CW. ‘The Winchesters’ will focus on Dean and Sam Winchester’s parents and will have Ackles as the show’s narrator.
Not much is known at this time about the new ‘Supernatural’ prequel series ‘The Winchesters,’ other than it has a script commitment, and will see the return of Ackles’ Dean Winchester character as the narrator. The show will be written and executive produced by former ‘Supernatural’ executive producer Robbie Thompson. Ackles wife, who also appeared in ‘Supernatural’ in a recurring guest role, will also be a part of the new series, according to Deadline.
“After Supernatural wrapped its 15th season, we knew it wasn’t over. Because like we say in the show, ‘nothing ever really ends, does it?'” said Jensen Ackles. Many fans are excited about the new series. Maybe Ackles former co-star Jared Padalecki will even make an appearance in the show at some point as well.
