Throughout the past year, a Texas company has been promoting the fact that they are bringing back the DeLorean after they acquired the original brand’s name and trademarks. They have since unveiled the new look Alpha5 four-seat car that is expected to hit roads in 2024. However, John DeLorean’s daughter has decided if anyone should bring back the DeLorean it should be her, as she now plans to release a next generation DeLorean to compete with the Texas company.
Kat DeLorean is a cybersecurity engineer who has previously stated she does not approve of the Texas company attempting to bring back her father’s iconic car. While her father’s estate previously reached a settlement with the company over the rights, Kat now plans to follow in her father’s footsteps by launching a new car company called DeLorean Next Generation Motors.
According to Fox News, the gullwing two-seater will be built in Detroit, with the first production version set to be revealed late next year.

The new brand plans to follow John DeLorean’s goal of developing "safer, more reliable, more efficient affordable automobiles." While it has been quite some time since a DeLorean has been seen on the roads, soon there will be two different types for people to choose from.
