These days, any time a customer is rude to someone working in the service industry, usually they are referred to as a “Karen.” Now, it appears the Karens are taking over and offering up the type of service they expect. It was recently announced that Australia’s “Karen’s Diner” will open up a pop up shop in DFW later this year, as they bring the “world’s rudest service” to the metroplex.

Back in 2021, a new restaurant opened in Australia that quickly became a hit on social media, as customers learned it was normal to have rude interactions with the staff at Karen’s Diner. The restaurant offers up deliberately unpleasant service, with staff instructed to insult customers throughout their meal, according to Dallas Culture Map. Now, the viral restaurant is hitting the road, and will be in DFW in September.

While the exact location is yet to be announced, the pop up will be somewhere on Commerce Street in Dallas on September 16th and 17th. The menu will feature burgers, wings, hot dogs, fries, mozzarella sticks, a salad, shakes, and cocktails. At Karen’s Diner, everyone is encouraged to release their inner Karen.
