Food companies are always looking for ways to get customers interested in their products, and sometimes that means releasing something that isn’t food at all. Over the years, food brands have collaborated with other companies to create branded clothing, beverages and other merchandise for fans to enjoy. Now, the latest comes from Kellogg’s as they recently teamed with Sugarlands Distilling Company to create an “Eggo Brunch in a Jar” flavored liqueur.
For those tired of getting shamed for their morning alcoholic beverage, Kellogg’s recently released a drink that goes perfectly with breakfast. Their new Eggo Brunch in a Jar Waffles & Syrup Sippin’ Cream is a 20% ABV liqueur that combines the taste of Eggo waffles in maple syrup and Sugarlands’ Appalachian Sippin’ Cream. According to CW33, the drink comes in a packaged mason jar.
Kellogg’s is not the first food brand to come out with their own alcoholic beverage, as Arby’s, Dunkin and Taco Bell have recently released boozy collaborations as well. The new Eggo drink is also featured in a number of recipes including Eggospresso Martini, the Eggo Mocha Macchiato and an alcoholic Bananas Foster. With Eggo Brunch in a Jar, it truly is always time for a drink.
