Klyde Warren Park has received some major upgrades over the past few years. Now, those renovations are helping the park receive some national recognition. The park that sits above Woodall Rodgers Freeway was recently included on the list of the best city parks in America.
USA Today recently unveiled their 10Best Readers’ Choice 2023 list of the best city parks in the US. The list included two Texas parks, with Klyde Warren Park coming in at number five on the list. “Perched atop a sunken freeway, this nationally acclaimed 5-acre oasis is just one of the examples of what makes Dallas' downtown area so dynamic,” said the report.
According to WFAA, the other Texas park making the list was Houston’s Hermann Park at number nine. Taking the top spot on this year’s list was Forest Park in St Louis. Maybe one day Klyde Warren Park will be ranked number one.
