Almost every home for sale has at least one extra feature to help the property stand out and attract buyers. For one house currently on the market, they are hoping the home’s previous owners are enough to get them to their asking price. A Los Angeles house previously owned by Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love recently went up for sale recently, and is currently listed for $998,000.
The Craftsman-style house was purchased by Cobain and Love in 1992. While it is unknown how long the couple lived there, it is where Cobain wrote much of Nirvana’s third album, ‘In Utero,’ according to the New York Post. The 2,458-square-foot, three bedroom home features a two-story living room with an open staircase and four large French doors that lead outside to a deck.
While the home was once owned by rock stars, it currently needs a lot of work, according to the listing. “The property has fallen into disrepair and is a major fixer,” reads the listing. Whoever ends up buying the home has their work cut out for them, but in the end they will get to claim they purchased Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s home.
