Where’s John Quiñones because this sounds exactly like an episode of What Would You Do?

A barber in Lewisville went to withdraw some cash at Bank of America when he noticed he noticed a couple of bags sitting on top of the ATM.

Inside the bag was $128,514 in cash. Inside the smaller bag, there were 19 checks.

Information on one of the bags pointed to Chick-Fil-A, so he drove to a nearby location to see if someone had misplaced it. Nobody at the restaurant did, so the man called the Lewisville police.

Lewisville Police Detective Gina Miller told CBS News, “I've never had a case like this before, ever.”

The cash evidently belonged to Bank of America, and that a Brinks technician serviced the ATM and was supposed to take the money but accidentally left the funds on top of the machine.

A bank receipt showed that exactly $128,514 was supposed to be in that bag. Every dollar was accounted for.

Lewisville Police say they want to recognize the man who found the money. Miller said, “I've had cases where good Samaritans have turned in property that they found, wallets, IDs, things like that, but in the case of $128,000, I've never had somebody turn in that kind of money before.”

The man, who chose to remain anonymous, said that if the police department honors him, he'll gladly attend a private ceremony.
