Ending a relationship is always difficult regardless of the situation. No one wants to be broken up with, and breaking up with someone almost always leads to an awkward interaction. However, one man recently decided to add some humor to the end of his relationship, breaking up with his girlfriend using the jumbotron at a baseball game.
Usually relationships take the next step at sporting events, as for years people have used in game messaging to propose to their significant other. While sometimes those relationships end as the public proposal is denied, rarely do people go out of their way to end their relationship in public using the jumbotron. Still one man decided to give it a try, and has since gone viral thanks to his scoreboard message reading “Alyssa, this relationship is OVER.”
According to Yahoo, there were 3,160 fans to see at Canal Park in Ohio the night of Tim’s message. It is unknown if both were in attendance the night of the message, though many are hoping it was just a cruel joke. If not, the in game wedding proposal may have officially been replaced.
