Most who have worked a job they don’t enjoy have thought about the explosive way they may one day quit. While almost everyone has thought about leaving their job in an irrational way, no one ever thinks about their boss doing something petty when an employee leaves. However, that’s exactly what happened to one man in Georgia, as his boss retaliated to him quitting by delivering his final paycheck in the form of 500 pounds of greased up pennies.
When Andreas Flaten quit his job back in November, he did so without any theatrics, handing in his two weeks’ notice with an explanation of why he was quitting. However, his boss didn’t seem to take too kindly to his decision. According to Flaten, his boss didn’t give him his final paycheck until March, and he did so by personally dropping off the payment of greased up pennies in the middle of the night.
“That comes out to be like 504 pounds of pennies. I have nowhere to put ’em,” said Flaten. According to Brobible, the final check was for $915, but it may be some time before Flaten figures out how to use the money. Clearly, his former boss wasn’t too thrilled with his decision.
