With more homeowners having security cameras for their house than ever before, the amount of neighborhood footage on the internet has skyrocketed. While usually these videos mostly consist of unexpected animals, porch pirates and people hurting themselves, every once in a while something pops up that is truly shocking. That’s the only way to describe what happened in Pennsylvania recently when a pizza delivery man helped end a police chase while dropping off an order at a home.
Tyler Morrell was delivering a pizza to a home recently when out of nowhere a car being chased by police went flying down the street. As seen in footage from the home’s security camera, the driver eventually crashes into a pole and tried to escape on foot. According to New York Post, Morrell quickly jumped into action, sticking his foot out and tripping the alleged criminal so police could catch him.
Even more surprising, the delivery man was able to do so without dropping the pizza. “I really tried to just make him stumble, so they can catch up to him, but I didn’t mean to send him flying, so that’s the craziest part of it,” said Morrell. Eventually the man was arrested, and the police department actually offered Morrell a job, but clearly delivering pizza is this man’s true passion.
