There are plenty of people who spent their free time as a child searching for buried treasure. While the promise of finding fortunes underground is enough to get any child excited, usually the search ends in disappointment. However, apparently adults can get duped too as a man recently thought he may have found some treasure in his backyard, only to find out it was actually his septic tank.
Tony Huisman recently shared video of something he found underground while gardening in his backyard. “I was doing some gardening in my backyard today, and I uncovered some sort of crazy, secret concrete box in the ground," Huisman captioned the video. As seen in the viral clip, Huisman continues digging, eventually opening the box only to be forced to run way from the smell after realizing it was actually his home’s sewage system.
According to Fox News, the video has since been viewed over 6 million times. Many online couldn’t believe Huisman continued attempting to open the septic tank, knowing it likely didn’t contain any hidden fortunes. While some may consider the contents of the septic tank to be buried treasure, sadly it won’t be earning Huisman money any time soon.
