There are many reasons to fear alligators, but for most people; it comes down to simply not wanting to be eaten by the massive reptile. Apparently this is something other alligators need to worry about as well. A man in South Carolina recently captured the moment a massive alligator chomped down on a smaller alligator, and the entire internet is terrified.
As seen in the clip that recently went viral, a huge alligator emerges from the water, snatching a smaller alligator in its mouth. The alligator bites down on the smaller before returning to the water to finish its meal. The video was captured by Taylor Soper, who claimed he had seen the massive reptile eating smaller alligators in the past.
According to Fox News, this is not abnormal behavior for alligators, which often go after their own kind. “Sometimes it can be territorial, but very often alligators are cannibalistic," said Florida Fish and Wildlife officer Gary Morse. If there was anyone left not scared of alligators, they likely are now.
