There are many food debates that have been discussed for years and will never be resolved. Questions like “does ketchup belong on hot dogs,” “is pineapple an acceptable pizza topping” and “how is caramel pronounced” have caused many friendships to end as everyone always thinks they are on the right side of the debate. Now, a recent study looked to solve the food question “what is every states favorite milkshake flavor,” and instead created a new food debate.
RTA Outdoor Living recently conducted a study using Google Trends looking to find every states preferred milkshake flavor, and the map displaying their results quickly went viral. According to The Takeout, the top choice in the United States was strawberry, with ten states preferring the flavor. The rest of the top five included; chocolate, Oreo, shamrock and vanilla.

Of course, there were a couple of surprises. The top choice for Texas was pineapple, while Florida was the only state to select Nutella milkshake. While not everyone agreed with their states choice, many thought it was spot on. Looks like the internet now has something new to debate.
