Anyone who has worked a job they didn’t enjoy has thought of many different scenarios for how they will one day quit. While some think about calling out those who have wronged them at work on their way out, others just want to make their experience known to the world. That’s exactly what one former McDonalds’ employee did, leaving a sign reading “I hate this job” at the drive-thru after quitting.

During a recent trip to McDonalds’, a customer noticed something odd stuck to the speaker box in front of the drive-thru menu; a sign reading “We are closed because I am quitting and I hate this job." Twitter user Great Ape Dad shared a photo of the sign, and it quickly went viral. According to Fox News, the photo has been retweeted over 21,000 times and has received over 200,000 likes.

In a follow up tweet, the customer said he spoke to the McDonalds staff about the sign, and he was told it was left by a night shift manager who quit and left the note overnight. The internet seemed to be split on the note, with some taking the former employee’s side, while others felt it was unprofessional. Either way, this person has officially made it to the quitting hall of fame.
