Like many businesses, modern technology has vastly improved the fast food industry in recent years. These days, it is hard to find a fast food chain that doesn’t offer an app for ordering and rewards, multiple drive thru lanes and even improved delivery systems. Now, McDonalds has decided to bring one of their new test concept stores to DFW, bringing even more new fast food tech to the metroplex.
Those venturing to the new McDonalds in White Settlement may notice a few things different than what they have come to expect inside the fast food chain. The new store is smaller than traditional McDonald’s restaurants and focuses on express to-go orders. As for the new technology, this location will feature a special drive-thru lane, where the orders arrive on a food and beverage conveyor belt.

According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, the new McDonalds is located along Interstate 30 at Las Vegas Trail. “The technology in this restaurant not only allows us to serve our customers in new, innovative ways, it gives our restaurant team the ability to concentrate more on order speed and accuracy, which makes the experience more enjoyable for everyone,” said the restaurant’s local owner, Keith Vanecek. With this new technology, that McDonalds drive thru just got even more tempting.
