When looking for a new place to live, one of the first things people look at is how safe the prospective cities are. That could be another reason why so many people have been moving to the metroplex in recent years, as two DFW cities recently made the list of safest cities in America. Both McKinney and Frisco made the top five, with three other Texas cities making the top 10.
Goodhire recently conducted a study to find the safest cities in America. The study looked at a number of factors, including background checks which they believe might be of more use in the analysis of the safest cities in the US. Based on their data, the study ranked McKinney as the second safest city in America, with Frisco landing the number four spot.

“Certain cities are home to more crime than others and some by a wide margin. A criminal records check for applicants in these areas might have a higher likelihood of revealing violent crime records, property crime records, sex offender registries, and much more,” said Goodhire. According to CW33, Pearland also made the list at number six, followed by El Paso at nine and Laredo at ten. With this study, DFW has even more to brag about.
