A new report from personal finance experts Motley Fool Money found that McKinney is the No. 1 “most affordable” city in the nation!
According to CultureMap Dallas, the report compared hundreds of cities based on their income-to-expense ratio.
McKinney had the highest income-to-expense ratio (1.55) out of every city in the U.S., and its cost of living index is three points below the national average.
Plano also made it into the top ten, coming in at No. 6.
The top ten most affordable cities in the U.S., according to this report, are:
1 – McKinney, Texas
2 - Morristown, New Jersey
3 – Edmond, Oklahoma
4 – Midland, Texas
5 – Austin, Texas
6 – Plano, Texas
7 – Joliet, Illinois
8 – Kansas City metropolitan area
9 – Atlanta, Georgia
10 – Charleston, South Carolina
