Many celebrities have attempted to have a second career in reality television over the years, but the latest to give it a try may come as a surprise to some. Meat Loaf announced recently that he will take part in an upcoming relationship reality show based on one of his songs. ‘‘I’d Do Anything For Love…But I Won’t Do That’ will see competitors taking part in games to see how compatible a potential relationship would be.
Meat Loaf will serve as executive producer for the show that promises “absurd and sometimes frightening physical contests, inspired and accompanied by ballads.” According to NME, this will not be Meat Loaf’s first foray into reality television, as he competed on ‘The Apprentice’ in 2011. As for his new show; couples will “compete in a variety of comedic physical games designed to reveal how well they can work together and how much they really trust and believe in each other – all to a soundtrack of classic hits, performed live in [the] studio by the original artists as well as new stars.”
Not much is currently known about the upcoming project, but many fans are excited to see what Meat Loaf brings to the new reality show. Maybe it will even inspire a new song.
