Just last week the Powerball Jackpot reached $1 billion as one lucky person in California matched all the numbers to win one of the largest prizes in game history. Now, only a few days after that victory the other biggest lottery game in the country is offering up a prize close to $1 billion. After no winner was found for last Friday’s Mega Millions drawing, the grand prize is now up to $820 million.
On Tuesday, Mega Millions will hold their latest drawing for one of their largest prizes in game history. According to CBS Texas, the $820 million prize would be the fifth largest in game history. If a winner is found on Tuesday, they could end up with a lump sum payment of $422 million before taxes.
There has been no Mega Millions winner since April 18. If no winner is found on Tuesday, the grand prize will increase even more. Maybe this time the winner will be from right here in North Texas.
