Any time a lottery prize raises to a life changing number, people who normally never play flock to buy tickets. Of course, once those lottery numbers don’t hit, many quickly discard their tickets, forgetting that they may have still won a smaller prize. Now, Mega Millions is alerting one lucky winner in DFW that their unclaimed ticket worth $1 million will soon expire.

Back in July, Mega Millions held a drawing that ended up cashing in $1 million for two people who purchased tickets in Texas. One of those tickets was purchased in Plano, while the other was in Prairie View. According to WFAA, the Plano ticket was purchased at RaceTrac #099, located at 1100 W. Park Blvd.

Sadly, no one has claimed either prize at this time, and they are at risk of losing out on the money. The tickets will expire on January 25, and after that date the winners won’t get the money. Anyone who purchased a lottery ticket at that RaceTrac in Plano may want to go back and check their numbers before it’s too late.
