As DFW continues to grow, more and more development projects have popped up all throughout the metroplex. Now, a new one is being built in McKinney, and it will be headlined by a North Texas favorite. The new $250 million project will feature Mi Cocina, along with a number of other popular DFW restaurants.

District 121, the new mixed-use development project being built at the northeast corner of State Highway 121 and Alma Road, adjacent to Craig Ranch, will bring retail, corporate offices, and restaurants to the area.
While Mi Cocina will be the headliner when the development’s restaurants open in 2023, District 121 will also feature Bob's Steak & Chop House, Common Table, and 400 Gradi. “We are creating a unique ambiance that includes some of the most successful restaurants in the metroplex overlooking a magnificent park. It would not have happened if the City of McKinney did not share in this same vision,” said David Craig, Chairman and CEO of Craig International.

While the metroplex will have to wait until 2023 for the District 121 restaurants to open, phase 1 of the development is expected to launch this spring, according to Dallas Culture Map. Many in the area seem excited for the new development, hoping it brings more business to the area. If not, at least they will have a Mi Cocina nearby.
