If there is one thing Texans love, its hearing about companies deciding to pack up and move to the Lone Star state. While many problems in the state are often blamed on the large number out of state people moving in, they are still welcomed with open arms by a number of Texans. Now, more new residents could be on the way, as Toyota recently announced plans to move even more jobs to Texas.
Toyota recently announced plans to consolidate their customer service from six cities to three, with Plano, Texas remaining as one of the company’s hubs. “We are very excited about our plans to further develop our customer service in order to bring more value to our customers and dealers and to offer our team members better career opportunities. Our goal in this reorganization is to streamline TFS’s branch structure and invest in new technologies to better serve our customers,” said Toyota. Along with Plano, Chandler, Arizona, and Alpharetta, Georgia will remain as customer service locations for the company.
It is unknown at this time how many jobs will be moving to Texas. The plan is expected to take effect by 2022, according to Dallas Morning News. With this move, there are about to be even more people claiming Texas as the best state.
