When someone passes away, their loved ones usually look for a special way to honor them. While there are more traditional ways like spreading one’s ashes, or celebrating their life in a way they always enjoyed, one man recently found a way to honor his uncle that no one has likely done before. The metal fan decided to turn his uncle’s skeleton into a guitar, and shared video of him playing the “Skelecaster” online.

Prince Midnight, a musician from Tampa, Florida went viral recently after sharing the unique way he honored his late uncle. As seen in the video, Midnight combined his uncle’s skeleton with an old Fender Telecaster. According to Midnight, his uncle is the man who introduced him to his favorite rock genre in the 1990’s.

Midnight’s uncle Flip died in a motorcycle accident in Greece back in 1996, according to Huffington Post. “Uncle Filip was the biggest metal head of anybody. Where would he rather be? In the ground or shredding?” said Midnight. While it isn’t the usual way to honor a late relative, it seems as if it truly is what his uncle would have wanted.
