The popularity of cat videos will seemingly never fade, and the latest feline to capture the attention of the internet has done so by resembling another star people can’t get enough of. Mostaccioli the cat has gained a following online thanks to its mustache that makes the cat resemble Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991, yet every Halloween, it’s a guarantee fans all over the world will throw on a mustache and tank top to dress as the former Queen frontman. However, none pull off the look quite as well as Mostaccioli the cat. Mostaccioli recently gained a following online after its owner Natalie started sharing photos of the cat online. While Natalie likely just wanted to show off her new cat, the internet became obsessed due to the black mark on its face that resembles Mercury’s iconic mustache.
According to People, Natalie rescued Mostaccioli after finding it living on the streets of California as a stray. Luckily, now the cat has a home and internet stardom. Maybe one day Mostaccioli will even front an iconic rock band.
