People who believe in ghosts will usually do whatever it takes to catch one in real life. Luckily for aspiring ghost hunters here in DFW, the Fort Worth Stockyards may just be the best place to find them. A new year-round ghost tour recently launched at the Fort Worth Stockyards that promises to show the spooky side of “Cowtown.”

Back in December, US Ghost Adventures launched their first tour in Fort Worth called ‘Cow Town Ghosts: Hauntings of the Wild West.’ The company already has tours in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Galveston and San Antonio, but had been eyeing Fort Worth for years due to the city’s long history and ties to Western culture. On their newest tour, guests will be learn about the infamous section of downtown Fort Worth known as “Hell’s Half Acre,” along with a one-hour, one-mile walk past historic and potentially haunted buildings.

According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, some of the highlights include the Stockyards Hotel, the White Elephant Saloon and Miss Molly’s Hotel. “Those souls still wander the streets inhabiting many of the buildings that are still up and standing, still causing havoc in the afterlife,” said Andrew Luciano, US Ghost Adventures director of expansion: food and drink tours. With this tour, soon guests will be able to see a side of Fort Worth they never knew was there.
