When searching for a new place to live, people tend to look at factors such as cost of living, education, economy and of course crime. Any time there is a study done on any of these factors, it’s almost a guarantee a Texas city makes the list as one of the best. Now, a new study has been done that once again shows the greatness of Texas. The study found that Arlington is one of the safest cities in the United States.

Personal finance website MoneyGeek recently conducted a study that analyzed crime statistics from nearly 300 U.S. cities. According to their data, of the cities with a population over 300,000 Arlington, Texas was ranked 13 on the list. The only other Texas cities ranking higher were El Paso at number four and Austin at 12. To find this data, MoneyGeek used FBI data on violent and property crimes in each city.

According to Dallas Morning News, Frisco with a population of 212,000, ranked 5th, McKinney with 208,000 residents ranked 10th, Allen, with a population of 108,000, ranked 11th and Plano, with 290,000 residents, was listed 30th. Now outsiders have even more reason to move to Texas.
