Any time a new bar comes to town, they try and incorporate something into their business that separates them from the rest. Some do this with events, others do it with themes, and then there are bars that try to bring the industry into the future with new technology. That’s exactly what one new DFW bar will do, as the wine and whiskey lounge will offer a self-service concept where customers can pour the drinks for themselves.

Social Oak Wine & Whiskey Lounge in Trophy Club is a self-service lounge concept that offers 56 wines and 28 whiskeys by the pour. Customers can choose their drinks by going up to a machine, selecting the type and choosing between 1-ounce, 3-ounce, and 5-ounce pours. “The machines preserve the wines by keeping oxygen out of the bottles, allowing us to provide rare selections such as high-end vintage bottles of wine by the glass,” said Bianca Nunez, head sommelier.
