They say every athlete wants to be an entertainer, and entertainers often wish they were athletes. While there have been a few examples of successful crossovers, more often than not it’s better for the person to stick to their day job. However, on the season premiere of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ the Detroit Lions showed they have a player who may actually be able to make the transition.
HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ gives NFL fans an inside look at training camp for a particular team each year. This year is the Detroit Lions, and during the season premiere this week, fans got a glimpse at an NFL tradition; making rookies get up and sing in front of the entire team. However, when rookie Aidan Hutchinson got up it led to more cheers than laughs.

According to For the Win, Hutchinson belted out Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean,’ with his rendition eventually leading to the entire team singing along. Reaction came in quickly from fans and fellow players, with many surprisingly impressed with Hutchinson’s singing abilities. While the Lions may not be the favorite to win the Super Bowl this year, at least they have a rookie that can definitely entertain.
