The Mega Millions jackpot continues to rise, as it’s now up to $1.35 billion ahead of Friday’s drawing. While many are hoping to end up with the second largest prize in Mega Millions history, one lucky DFW man ended up with a nice chunk of change from Tuesday’s drawing. It was recently announced that someone in Whitesboro bought a lottery ticket that won $3 million.

When Tuesday’s Mega Millions numbers were drawn, many all over the country were disappointed to find out they didn’t become instant billionaires. However, one person in Whitesboro did become a millionaire after correctly matching five of the winning numbers. “A Whitesboro resident claimed a second-tier Mega Millions® prize worth $3,000,012 for the drawing on Nov. 1, 2022,” the Texas Lottery reported.

According to CW33, the ticket was purchased at Enderby Gas Inc. on U.S. Highway 377. The winner decided to remain anonymous, so it is unknown who ended up with the $3 million. However, it may become obvious once the winner begins spending their money.
