Frisco, McKinney and Plano rank among 10 safest cities in America

Whenever a family is moving to a new city, one of the first things they look at is the crime rates near their new home. Luckily for those moving to Texas, there are plenty of places they can end up where that is something they won’t have to worry about. A recent study ranked three North Texas cities in their top 10 safest cities in America, with multiple Texas cities landing in the top 35.

Financial technology company SmartAsset recently conducted a study looking to find the safest cities in the United States. The study looked at factors such as violent crimes, property crime rates and drug poisoning deaths to determine their rankings. According to CW33, the study named Frisco as the number one safest city in America, with McKinney coming in at number two, and Plano at number nine.

Another Texas city making the top 10 was McAllen at number six. Overall eight cities in Texas made the top 35, with Laredo, Round Rock, College Station and Brownsville making the list as well. Thanks to this list, there is now yet another reason for people to move to Texas.
