Pet owners are always treating their animal companions as if they were human. While many consider their pets part of the family, there are plenty of places that want nothing to do with animals. Luckily, there is a new restaurant opening in DFW that cares more for the pet than the human. ‘The Pawtio,’ North Texas’ first ever “pet restaurant,” is opening in Frisco this weekend and it looks like the place to be for all animal lovers.

On Saturday, DFW’s first “pet restaurant” will open at Frisco Square Boulevard. ‘The Pawtio’ will feature live music, a mini bar, an art gallery, and quality gourmet food for pets. They will even have food for humans, but the animals are clearly the focus at this restaurant. “You won’t find another place in D-FW where you can see amazing art, listen to great music, talk to friends, sit, stay, sip and give your dog a bone… or a full-course meal if you choose,” said owner Giulio Ferrari.

According to Tina-Tien Nguyen of the Dallas Morning News, pet meals will include appetizers, entrees, desserts and pet-friendly cocktails called “lickers.” The restaurant even has a talking and dancing macaw at the entrance. Hopefully they don’t eventually put up a “no humans allowed” sign.
