Over the last few years, ghost kitchens have been popping up all over the metroplex as people look for quality food options that are quick and easy. Now, another local business has decided to jump on the ghost kitchen trend as Kroger recently announced they are opening a ghost kitchen at one of their North Texas locations. The ghost kitchen will serve up food from six different restaurants behind one counter.
On Thursday, the Kroger located on Mockingbird Lane and Greenville Avenue in Dallas teamed up with Kitchen United Mix to open an in-store ghost kitchen. The food counter is located near the store’s front entrance and features food from Dog Haus hotdogs, Capriotti’s sandwiches, Curry UPnow Indian street food, Carl’s Jr. hamburgers, Fuku fried chicken and Monkey King noodles. According to Dallas Morning News, the kitchen has capacity to add more restaurants as well.

“Our secret sauce is that you place one order. It’s one transaction and one delivery fee,” said Kitchen United CEO Michael Montagano. While this is the first Kroger in DFW to open a ghost kitchen, the chain has already opened kitchens in Houston and Los Angeles. With this new ghost kitchen, DFW has even more food options to choose from.
