The Oscar Mayer “Wienermobile” has been traveling throughout the United States since 1936. However, after nearly a century on the road the company has decided it’s time to make a change to the iconic vehicle. While the hot dog shaped car may look the same, it will now have a new name as Oscar Mayer recently introduced the new “Frankmobile.”

With Oscar Mayer set to roll out a new recipe for their hot dogs for the first time in six years, the company decided they should “pay homage” to the new taste by making a change to the “Wienermobile” as well. While they didn’t say if the change would be permanent, the car will now be called the “Frankmobile,” according to CNN. The only noticeable change to the vehicle, other than the name, is the decal on the side.

Oscar Mayer currently has six 23-foot-long vehicles traveling the United States. As for the new hot dog recipe, a spokesperson for the company said, “While some competitors focused on having strong flavors on a few aromatics like garlic and/or onion, our team worked to balance these out while still keeping strong beef brothy notes throughout the dog.” Hopefully these changes to the recipe, and the iconic “Wienermobile,” don’t upset too many fans.
