Collecting memorabilia may not be for everyone, but when it’s something from someone’s favorite TV show of all-time, it’s hard not to get at least a little excited. Luckily for nostalgia fans in DFW, an auction is taking place in town next month that will include plenty of it. It was recently announced that Dallas-based Heritage Auctions will be selling over 1,000 TV show pieces, including memorabilia from some of the biggest shows in television history.
James Comisar has been collecting television memorabilia since 1989 in hopes of one day opening his own museum. However, after that plan failed to come together he has now decided to sell his collection containing over 1,000 pieces of props, sets, costumes and more. According to Fox 4 News, some of the biggest pieces include the set from Johnny Carson’s ‘Tonight Show,’ the bar from ‘Cheers’ and the living room from ‘All in the Family.’
Other shows featured in the collection are ‘I Dream of Jeannie,’ ‘Breaking Bad,’ ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Mad Men,’ ‘Batman’ and more. The auction will be held from June 2-4. For any fan of classic television, there is definitely a piece in this set they may want.
