There are many great rivalries throughout history, but not many are greater than the one between Pepsi and Coke. The soda debate goes back a long time, with many blind taste tests being administered to determine which taste better. Now, Pepsi has unveiled plans for a new soda, with a name their competitor likely won’t be thrilled about.

Pepsi’s newest soda will be influenced by a seasonal classic; hot chocolate. The new “Cocoa” cola will be flavored with chocolate and marshmallows. No official release date has been announced, but according to a tweet from Pepsi, the drink is expected to be released in 2021. The drink was created after Pepsi tweeted the drink idea, saying “Want to try and get your hands on it? 2,021 RTs and we’ll make a batch.”

After getting the necessary amount of retweets, Pepsi revealed they will indeed make the drink with details coming in 2021. Of course, plenty online were excited to try the new drink, others say they would stick to normal soda, or a beverage of their choosing. With this new drink, its officially Coke’s turn to come up with something new.
