There a number of factors that would prevent someone with a fear of flying from getting on a plane. However, for those with a passion for aviation, there’s usually only one thing that would prevent them from wanting to be in the air; weather. Still, one pilot recently decided to take that risk, sharing video of his plane flying near a tornado in the sky.
Video of the pilot’s journey was shared online recently and quickly went viral. As seen in the video, the pilot comes dangerously close to the tornado. According to brobible, the pilot was Chief Meteorologist David Payne, who was flying above Oklahoma when he spotted the tornado.
Many online were stunned by the video, as even thrill seekers said that is a situation they would want to avoid. Luckily, the pilot kept a safe distance and avoided any danger. Hopefully this doesn’t inspire more storm chasers to hit the skies for a closer look.
